Computex 2016 - In Win

As well as displaying all eight PCs from the Mod in Taiwan competition it hosted over the recent weekend – and we hope you've all had a look and voted for your favourites – In Win had a number of its own crazy cases on display at Computex this year, as it so often does.

The 805 Infinity, with its awesome mirrored front panel and customisable RGB lighting, was again on display (it was first seen at CES earlier this year).


Elsewhere, we saw three new, ultra high-end cases that In-Win is producing in very limited quantities as further celebration of its 30th anniversary. First was the D-Frame 2.0, inspired by the design of motorbikes. The front and roof of the aluminium tube section opens outwards easily via a clipping system, and the tempered glass side panels are easily removed with thumbscrews too. In Win also claims that the HDD brackets used are very user-friendly. It has three USB 3.0 connectors and one USB 3.1 Type-C on the front I/O panel. It is bundled with a new 1065W PSU that is designed to complement the D-Frame 2.0 design, even featuring tempered glass panels of its own.


Next is the H-Frame 2.0, which In Win says it will produce less than 500 of. It again uses aluminium and tempered glass, this time with a front-to-back blade design which is again open-air. LED lighting runs around the edges of the cases, with the I/O panel allowing you to adjust its brightness. It has the same USB connectivity as the D-Frame 2.0.


The final 30th anniversary case was the X-Frame 2.0. This is a full aluminium case and probably the most eye-catching of them all. It comes in black and red and In Win says it is designed for professional test bench users who also want to show off their rig. In Win also claims it is strong enough to support the weight of two people. With the ability to rotate through 360 degrees and be stood on its footstand both horizontally and vertically, it gives users easy access to their components when installing and removing them. It also ships with the same PSU as the D-Frame 2.0 but the PSU is refashioned to meet the aesthetic here.


Lastly, we saw the new Aurora fans and RGB lighting system. The fans are sold in packs of three and you get a remote control and controller with these as well. The connection method allows you to daisy chain fans together and then control them all at once with various patterns and brightness levels as well as fan speeds with the remote control. They are fitted with shockproof mounts as well.
